ഇബ്നു ബത്തൂത്ത (മൊറോക്കോ) - കോലം(കൊല്ലം), കാലിക്കുത്ത്(കോഴിക്കോട്), സാമിരി(സാമൂതിരി) എന്നിങ്ങനെ ആണ് ഇദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ പരാമർശം. 14 ആം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലാണ് കേരളത്തിൽ എത്തിയത്.
