കേരളത്തിലെ കായലുകള്‍ കേരളത്തില്‍ ആകെ 34 കായലുകള്‍ ആണുള്ളത്. ഇതില്‍ 27 കായലുകള്‍ കടലിനോട് ചേരുന്നവയും 7 കായലുകള്‍ കടലിനോട് ചേരാത്ത ഉള്‍നാടന്‍ ജലാശയങ്ങളുമാണ്. ഇവ ശുദ്ധജല തടാകങ്ങളായി അറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. കേരളം കായലുകളുടെ നാട് എന്നറിയപ്പെടുന്നു. റംസാര്‍ പട്ടികയില്‍ ഉള്‍പ്പെട്ട കേരളത്തിലെ കായലുകള്‍ - വേമ്പനാട് കായല്‍, ശാസ്താംകോട്ടകായല്‍, അഷ്ടമുടി കായല്‍, കവ്വായി കായല്‍.
