The Padma Awards are conferred by the President of India at ceremonial functions which are held at Rashtrapati Bhawan usually around March/ April every year. Padma Awards are one of the highest civilian honours in India and are categorized into three namely, Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan, and Padma Shri.
The Padma awards are granted in a variety of disciplines/fields of activity, including art, social work, public affairs, science and engineering, commerce and industry, medical, literature and education, sports, and civil service, among others. President Ram Nath Kovind approved conferment of 128 Padma Awards this year on the eve of the 73rd Republic Day. Following is the list of Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri awardees.
Padma Vibhushan

The 2020 Summer Paralympics (Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games), are a major international multi-sport parasports event governed by the International Paralympic Committee. Scheduled as the 16th Summer Paralympic Games, they are ongoing in Tokyo, Japan between 24 August and 5 September 2021. Originally scheduled to take place between 21 August and 6 September 2020, both the Olympics and Paralympics were postponed to 2021 in March 2020 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic and is held behind closed doors with no public spectators permitted due to a state of emergency in the Tokyo region.
