- ആരോഗ്യമുള്ള ഒരാൾ ദിനംപ്രതി 800-2500 മി.ലി മൂത്രം പുറന്തള്ളുന്നു. മൂത്രത്തിന്റെ പി എച്ച്‌ മൂല്യം 4.8 മുതല്‍ 7.5 വരെയാണ്‌.
- ഉദരാശയത്തിനുള്ളില്‍ സ്ഥിതി ചെയ്യുന്ന ഒരു ജോഡി വൃക്കകളാണ്‌ മനുഷ്യരിലെ പ്രധാന വിസര്‍ജനാവയവങ്ങൾ.

- യന്ത്രസംവിധാനം ഉപയോഗിച്ച്‌ രക്തത്തിലെ മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ അരച്ചു മാറ്റുന്നതാണ്‌ ഡയാലിസിസ്‌'. രക്തം ശുദ്ധീകരിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ചികിത്സാരീതികൂടിയാണിത്‌.
- രക്തത്തില്‍ നിന്നും മാലിന്യങ്ങൾ നീക്കാന്‍ സഹായിക്കുന്ന വൃക്കയിലെ ഭാഗമാണ്‌ 'ബോമാന്‍സ്‌ കാപ്സ്യൂൾ'.
- രക്തത്തില്‍ നിന്നും യൂറിയ, ജലം, ലവണങ്ങൾ എന്നിവയെ അരിച്ചു മാറ്റുന്നത്‌ വൃക്കയാണ്‌.
- വൃക്കയിലുള്ള നേരിയ കുഴലുകളാണ്‌ നെഫ്രോണുകൾ.
- വൃക്കയിലെ കല്ല്‌ രാസപരമായി കാത്സ്യം ഓക്സലൈറ്റ്‌ ആണ്‌.
